So, I have been out of school for a couple of years, but I always looked forward to Spring Break no matter what. Here in Illinois, the camp grounds were always still closed during our Spring Break, so we had to get out and do something out of town.
If I were still in school, I would want to travel to somewhere warm this week, near the ocean and possibly mountains. Since we were just in one of the coolest tropical places ever, Kauai, Hawaii, I wanted to share some warm-weather and travel fashions that could work for lots of occasions.
These days, I would rather be a little over-dressed than under, and I like the sophisticated look of some of the dresses and accessories below.
*And I could not have lasted a day without my Rayban Club Masters.
*Some cute flip flops can work for walking to the beach, shopping, and in a pinch, you can use them to walk to a restaurant for dinner! Pair them with a maxi dress, maxi skirt, cute shorts, and to and from the beach! They also double as shower shoes if you are in question.
These convertible dresses were all over Hawaii, and can be very dressy or very casual. There are lots of tutorials on how to tie convertible dresses in many ways.
*And this black or a solid colored maxi dress is fun for dinner or night shopping as well!
*Also, with the wind being as it is near the beach, a woven fedora hat was amazing, and keeps the sun out of your eyes! This was one of my first hats that I have actually worn seriously, and loved it. A trucker cap is also popular on the beach, but a fedora is more dressy and versatile. Believe me, those trucker caps just don't look cute with a dress and heels!
A watch is also a fun and fashionable alternative to a bracelet, and is super useful, especially when trying to adjust to a time change during travel.
A cute, statement necklace is always fun too! Either of these dresses would be cute with or without jewelry! I recommend trying not to overpack on the jewelry either. Although it doesn't take up much room, it is one of the most time-consuming things to carefully pack and repack.
Have any travel or packing trips for Spring Getaways? Where are you headed?
